Splish Splash Bathrooms is an award-winning residential renovation company specializing in bathrooms, kitchens and whole home renovations. We're growing again and looking for a full-time Renovation Helper to join our team in the GTA.
Please note that this is a permanent, full-time, entry-level position.
Duties include helping with:
- Demolition and debris removal
- Loading, unloading and delivering materials and tools
- Framing and drywall installation (including taping and mudding)
- Flooring installation
- Tiling and grouting
- Installation of materials and finishings
- Painting
- Friendly customer interactions and service
- Maintaining and cleaning job sites
- Other duties as assigned
Who are we looking for?
The Renovation Helper needs to:
- be punctual, friendly, polite, clean and presentable, as we work directly with customers in their homes
- pay strict attention to detail
- be able to lift and carry heavy objects (e.g., construction materials, appliances and furniture)
- be able to properly use all tools required to perform the renovations
- work efficiently with no wasted time
- have good communication skills
- be a team player but also work well independently
- learn quickly and follow direction from team lead
- want to have a long-term career in the renovation business
- have a positive and determined attitude
- be legally allowed to work in Canada
- provide proof of having passed a recent criminal background check (available through local police services)
- work full-time Monday to Friday with extra hours as needed
Job sites are located Toronto, York Region, Peel Region and occasionally Durham Region. Many of these locations are not accessible by public transit, so employees must have a valid Ontario drivers' licence and be able to reliably commute to all locations.
Experience:
1+ years experience in residential construction or renovations is preferred but not required. Training will be provided. We are interested in helping employees develop their skills so they can eventually lead their own teams.
Compensation:
Hourly pay commensurate with experience. Opportunity for growth. Eligibility for benefits following successful completion of probation period.
