Global Wholesale Parts and Global Wholesale Machinery are expanding across North America and are seeking an experienced Heavy Equipment Parts Technician to join our growing team.
This is an opportunity for an experienced professional who understands heavy equipment, values customer relationships, and takes pride in finding the right solution the first time.
We are not looking for an order taker.
We are looking for a Parts Technician who understands that equipment downtime costs customers money and who can help fleets, contractors, mines, and equipment owners keep their operations running efficiently.
What You'll Be Doing
- Assisting customers, mechanics, service departments, and field technicians with parts inquiries
- Identifying and sourcing parts for construction, mining, earthmoving, trucking, and industrial equipment
- Interpreting parts manuals, schematics, serial number information, and equipment documentation
- Processing quotations, orders, returns, warranty claims, and special orders
- Working closely with service departments and equipment owners to support repairs and maintenance
- Building long-term customer relationships through technical knowledge and exceptional service
- Identifying opportunities to reduce downtime and lower operating costs for customers
- Managing customer follow-up and activity through modern CRM and business systems
- Supporting key fleet accounts and helping customers improve purchasing efficiency
What We're Looking For
- Previous experience in heavy equipment, construction equipment, mining, trucking, agricultural, industrial, or OEM parts environments
- Strong knowledge of parts lookup systems, component identification, and inventory management
- Ability to read parts diagrams, technical manuals, and equipment schematics
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Highly organized and detail oriented
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently
- Comfortable communicating by phone, email, and in person
- Journeyperson Parts Technician certification is considered a strong asset
- Experience with Caterpillar, Komatsu, Hitachi, Volvo, John Deere, Case, Hyundai, Liebherr, Sandvik, Atlas Copco, Epiroc, Cummins, Detroit Diesel, or similar equipment is considered an asset
What Sets You Apart
- Fleet maintenance or fleet account experience
- Mining or construction industry experience
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Understanding of component life cycles and total cost of ownership
- Leadership, coaching, or mentoring experience
- Experience with ERP, DMS, Microsoft Dynamics, HubSpot, or similar systems
