Responsibilities:
The Pharmacy Manager is responsible for the management of the pharmacy while maintaining a high level of professionalism through consistent and thorough patient care.
- Ensure high-quality patient care through quality, accuracy and on-time processing of prescriptions
- Inspire a positive, patient-focused culture and experience and customer service standard while developing and monitoring business plans to deliver on KPIs
- Provide consultations to patients as it relates to their prescriptions including basic pharmaceutical information about their medications, drug chemistry, proper usage, consumption patterns and management of potential side effects
- Manage inventory levels of drugs and packaging supplies; coordinate medication orders with wholesaler or drug manufacturers
- Collaborating with physicians, nurses, health care providers and support workers to develop and discuss therapeutic actions and plans
- Ability to lead, coach, and motivate staff
- Complete performance assessments (probation, annual)
- Practice within applicable Federal/Provincial laws, Provincial Code of Ethics, rules and regulations
- Ensure all privacy requirements are met, including customer confidentiality and consent management
- Maintaining records required in accordance with legislation, standards of practice, and policy
- Provide resolutions and advice to customer needs on time
- Accountable for the financial and operational success of the department
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Pharmaceutical Science or Pharm-D
- In good standing with the College of Pharmacists of BC
- Licensed to Administer Medications by Injection
- Minimum 1 year of prior experience as a Pharmacy Manager
Qualifications and Skills:
- Proficiency with Pharmacy Softwares
- Attention to detail as it relates to medication preparation, labeling and documentation
- Excellent interpersonal skills, strong verbal and written communication skills
- Self-directed and able to work independently
- Ability to work well in a team environment
- Able to work in a fast paced environment
- Strong problem solving and analytical skills
- Strong time management and organizational skills to meet deadlines
- Computer proficient
- Fluent in English

Education:
- Bachelor's Degree (preferred)
Experience:
- Pharmacist: 1 year (required)
- Pharmacy Manager: 1 year (preferred)
Licence/Certification:
- License with the College of Pharmacists of BC (preferred)
