Hiring: Health Care Aide (Edmonton & Area) – $18/hr - $23/hr
Prairie Med-Solution Inc. is hiring experienced Health Care Aides (HCAs) to support adults, children, and youth with complex medical and developmental needs in home and community-based settings.

- Community programs
- Respite care environments
Core Responsibilities
- Provide hands-on personal care, including activities of daily living (ADLs) such as hygiene, feeding, and mobility support
- Provide support to pediatric clients with medical needs
- Support children with autism, developmental disabilities, and complex needs
- Deliver behavioral and emotional support using a trauma-informed approach
- Follow individualized care plans and safety protocols
- Assist with medication administration when trained and delegated
- Support life skills development and structured routines
- Maintain professional communication with families and care teams
Required Qualifications
- Health Care Aide Certificate or equivalent relevant experience
- Must be registered in the Alberta Health Care Aide Directory, or eligible/actively pursuing registration
- Medical experience working with pediatric clients is required
- Minimum 1 year of hands-on experience with individuals of all ages
- Proven experience working with children with diverse abilities and/or special needs
- Strong understanding of trauma-informed care and behavioral support
Additional Requirements
- Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Search
- Child Intervention Check
- First Aid & CPR, or willingness to obtain immediately
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Must own a vehicle with 4 doors
- Willingness to complete mandatory training, both online and in-person
Schedule
- Casual, flexible shifts may include:
- After-school hours
- Evenings and weekends
- Overnight shifts, as needed
