LANDSCAPING TEAMLEAD POSITION OVERVIEW
We are seeking an experienced, hard-working, and hands-on Maintenance Team lead to lead our crew by example and manage our operations in the field; a leader who is present on the job site, operating machinery alongside the team, and ensuring every project meets our high standards of quality and safety.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Field Leadership & Operations
- Lead, manage, and work alongside the crew to ensure daily operations run smoothly and efficiently.
- Supervise and coordinate the work of the crew on specific projects, assigning tasks and monitoring progress to ensure projects stay on schedule.
- Perform hands-on tasks such as planting, mowing, pruning, trimming, and hardscape installation as needed to support the team and keep production moving.
- Operate heavy machinery and equipment (including skid steers, trucks, and trailers) proficiently and safely.
- Operate Plow for residential and commercial properties in winter months.
- On-call on days and nights.
Quality & Safety Control
- Ensure all work is completed to the highest level of quality and meets specific customer expectations.
- Enforce strict safety protocols and ensure all crew members observe health and safety regulations at all times.
Training & Client Management
- Train, mentor, and motivate crew members, fostering a positive work culture and strong work ethic.
- Act as the primary point of contact on-site, liaising with clients.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience: 5+ years of landscaping industry experience.
- Leadership: Proven ability to supervise and motivate a crew, manage conflict, and drive productivity.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to work in various weather conditions and perform physical labor alongside the team.
- Logistics: Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; ability to safely operate trucks and trailers.
