Position Summary:

We are looking for a highly energetic, driven professional with sound business acumen to join our team. The position will be a hybrid role with responsibilities being pulled from Operations, Sales and Customer Service. Bilingual (French/English) a strong asset.

Responsibilities:

Operations/Customer Service:

  • Accept & complete incoming requests (pickups, rate inquiries, status updates, etc) via telephone, email, and through our Transportation Management Software (TMS)
  • Track shipments from pickup through delivery so that accurate, up-to-date information can be provided to customers regarding any shipment
  • Proactively communicating service failures or delays
  • Schedule and dispatch carriers according to customer specifications
  • Onboard new clients into the TMS software
  • Provide ongoing client support for the software
  • Develop and maintain reports to provide to senior team and customers
  • Source and implement new business productivity solutions to improve organization and time management

Inside Sales:

  • Weekly contact with current accounts to ensure customer satisfaction and explore opportunities for growth
  • Create and distribute company news via customer emails and social media
  • Data entry to support Sales Leadership in consulting services
  • CRM maintenance
  • Work closely with our experienced Sales Leadership providing support to assist in closing pipeline deals

Requirements

  • College program in logistics or equivalent business-related experience preferred
  • Advanced computer skills - Outlook, Excel, Word, G Suite, etc
  • Transportation industry knowledge and experience an asset (i.e. shipping/receiving, scheduling, freight negotiations and regulatory requirements)
  • Bilingual (fluent in English and French - written and oral) an asset
  • Able to deal with people sensitively, tactfully, and professionally at all times
  • Able to work well under pressure
  • Flexible, able to manage change effectively

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $35,000.00 to $45,000.00 /year
