O'Hanlon Paving, a proud member of The Fath Group of Companies, has been a key player in the Edmonton, road construction industry for over 65 years. We are currently looking for an experienced Heavy Equipment Technician (HET) to work year around in a full-time capacity in our Acheson, AB shop. The successful candidate must be able to align with the company's core values: Commitment, Attitude and Respect.
Responsibilities:
- Diagnosis and repair of wide variety of on-road equipment;
- Drivability and Electrical diagnosis repair;
- Perform accurate record keeping for each job completed;
- Follow safe practices; and
- Other duties as require.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 3rd year apprentice. Red seal journeyperson certificate in HET is an asset;
- CVIP certification is an asset;
- Knowledge and experience with mobile equipment, commercial trucks and trailers of many makes and models;
- Must possess a valid class 5 driver’s license (with Air brake, Class 3 is an asset) with or above with a clean drivers abstract;
- Ability to work continuously for prolonged periods of time under pressure;
- High attention to detail, strong communication skills and ability to follow directions;
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team and independently with minimal supervision;
- Willingness and ability to work extended hours and weekends if required; and
- Valid safety certifications.
