We are currently hiring for a Material Handler for our client in Mississauga for the afternoon shift . Responsible for ensuring that assemblers have the supplies they need on a consistent basis. Collecting of material and transferring them to the correct department, lifting up to 50lbs
Working Hours:
Afternoon: Monday- Thursday 4:30pm to 1:00am and Friday 3:30pm to 12:00pm at $22.00 per hour
Training on days: Monday-Thursday 7am to 4:30pm and Friday 7am to 3:30pm at $20.00 per hour
Responsibilities:
- Anticipate and deliver components, packaging supplies, and material corresponding to orders to work areas as required.
- Move sheet metal from racks to CNC laser machine.
- Run laser cut sheet metal parts in deburring machine.
- Report any quality issues, damaged or defective materials.
- Identify non-conformances.
- Complete shop records accurately.
- Handle medium-to-heavy materials intermittently.
- Assist with special projects and other duties as assigned
- Able to lift up to 50lbs; may work in hot areas 5%,
- Ensure adherence to Health and Safety as well as active participation in 5S activities in work area.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent experience
- 1 – 2 years of experience in material handling
- At least 2 years of Manufacturing experience preferred
- Demonstrated dexterity and ability to understand simple to complex assemblies
- Ability to lift loads up to 50lbs
- Valid forklift license an asset
- Medium to highly detail-oriented
- Experience with electrical fixtures material and component manufacturing preferred
