The origins of the OSCO Construction Group go back to 1955 when Ocean Steel & Construction Ltd. was founded in Saint John, New Brunswick. Since that time, the OSCO Construction Group has grown to encompass four main operating sectors: Steel, Concrete, Construction and Corporate. Within these sectors lie an ever-expanding number of companies and divisions, serving a growing market area and employing over one thousand employees.

Reporting to the Human Resources Manager, this position is responsible for the full cycle recruitment of professional and management level positions and to further develop and enhance our relationships with our educational partners.

Responsibilities

Full cycle recruitment of professional and management level roles
Build strong relationships with educational partners to support talent strategy and drive the co-op and work term programs
Identify and present top talent from designated educational programs
Identify and implement creative engagement opportunities with educational institutions
Champion and maintain the use and integrity of talent acquisition technology for recruiting team and hiring managers to produce accurate reporting on a regular basis
Attend professional job fairs and related recruiting events
Work with managers to identify requisition priorities and schedule activities accordingly
Build key talent pipelines through continuous sourcing, school & industry partnerships to identify and target top talent
Develop recruitment strategies and campaigns to attract qualified and motivated professional and University/College candidates
Review, enhance and manage educational institution recruiting practices
Develop and maintain recruiting related marketing materials
Requirements

Minimum 2 years’ experience in a full cycle professional recruiting and school engagement function, preferably in the construction / industrial experience
Bachelor of Business Administration degree or relevant post-secondary degree
Travel as required for school recruiting and events
Experience using talent acquisition technology
Demonstrated experience managing priorities with flexibility in a fast-paced, changing environment to meet tight deadlines
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate, work effectively and build trust with Operations and within the HR department
Strong written, verbal and presentation skills
