FULL-TIME ASSISTANT GROCERY STORE MANAGER! MUST HAVE GROCERY/SUPERMARKET EXPERIENCE!
The Assistant Store Manager assists the Store Manager with the store’s day to day operations. In conjunction with management implements strategies and processes to drive customer service, store sales and profitability.
Must be available to work flexible shifts including evenings, weekends and holidays.
Job Duties:
- Liaise with the various departments to ensure information is conveyed properly and expectations are communicated.
- Ensures customer’s needs are met, complaints are resolved and service is quick and efficient.
- Ensures all health, safety and food regulations are adhered to and required standards are met.
- Maintains store appearance and product presentation to company standards.
- Oversees and assists in inventory management.
- Leads staff to meet store operational goals and quality delivery of customer service.
- Oversees the responsibilities of the Store Manager in their absence.
- Opens and closes the store.
- Provides direction, guidance, training, instruction, performance management and support to all store associates as required.
- Assists in creating weekly staffing schedules; ensuring staffing levels adequately meet business needs.
- 5 years of experience working in a large format grocery/supermarket.
- 3 years of work experience in a Manager/Supervisor role in a retail/supermarket.
- Post-secondary education and/or experience in merchandising and/or business management.
