Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented Warehouse Shipping Assistant to join our dynamic logistics team. This role is vital in ensuring the efficient movement, packaging, and shipping of products within our warehouse operations. The ideal candidate will have experience with warehouse management systems, order fulfillment, and equipment operation such as forklifts and reach trucks. This position offers an opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment supporting e-commerce and distribution channels, contributing to the seamless delivery of products to our customers.
Responsibilities
- Assist with shipping and receiving processes, including loading and unloading shipments
- Operate forklifts, reach trucks, and other warehouse equipment safely and efficiently
- Use warehouse management systems (WMS), MRP, and AS400 platforms to track inventory and process orders
- Pick, pack, and prepare orders for shipment with accuracy and attention to detail
- Maintain organized storage areas and ensure proper labeling of products
- Support order fulfillment activities for e-commerce platforms and warehouse distribution channels
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols during all warehouse activities
- Assist in inventory counts and cycle counts as needed
- Collaborate with team members to optimize warehouse operations and improve workflow efficiency
Requirements
- Proven experience in warehouse management, shipping & receiving, or related roles
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS), MRP, and AS400 is preferred
- Valid certification for forklift operation; experience with reach trucks is a plus
- Ability to perform basic math calculations for inventory counts and order processing
- Experience with order picking, packing, and load & unload procedures
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
- Ability to operate warehouse equipment safely and efficiently
- Basic understanding of e-commerce logistics processes
- Physical ability to lift heavy loads and stand for extended periods during shifts
- Prior warehouse experience is highly desirable for this role
Pay: $22.50 per hour
