Walgre Transport Inc. is currently seeking highly motivated and an experienced Diesel Mechanic Technician with a minimum of 3 years of prior experience. Preferably someone with previous truck repair shop / dealership experience. We are in search of highly skilled technicians, with a compensation structure that can be extremely rewarding. Shift:
- Monday-Friday 9am-6pm weekends as needed
- Work shifts are normally 8–10-hour shifts
Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on diesel engines and vehicles
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues
- Conduct inspections and preventative maintenance on diesel equipment
- Repair or replace faulty parts and components
- Weld and solder parts as needed
- Perform tire services, including mounting, balancing, and rotation
Skills:
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
- Proficient in diagnosing and repairing diesel engines
- Knowledge of welding techniques for repairs and fabrication
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and manual labor as required
- Excellent customer service skills to interact with clients
Requirement:
- You must own your own tools
- You must successfully pass a Background and Drug Screening
- You must have a valid Driver’s License
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $28.00-$42.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 50 per week
Schedule:
- Day shift
- Weekends as needed
