We are looking for a Product Specification Technician to join our dynamic Team at our Casegoods Division in Kitchener. If you are motivated, enjoy challenges and thrive in a fast-paced environment we would love to hear from you!
The Product Specification Technician will support the Engineer and Bids departments with product specifications, drawings (including basic rendering as necessary), and CET & 2020 Catalogue Integration.
Also, assists with bid responses and occasionally backs up the quotes department and/or engineering (spec drawings).
Position Responsibilities:
- Supports sales reps with product specifications and pricing using 2020 Worksheet
- Review price guides and compare them to Catalog Express to ensure accuracy
- Prepares 2D and 3D drawings using CAP and incorporates AutoCAD drawings of specials that have been created by engineering (spec drawings) after re-sizing the drawings to mesh with CAP
- Renders drawings when required using AutoDesk Inventor, Solidworks or similar software
- Assists with bid responses, including specification, confirming alignment with technical requirements, and bid package preparation
- Assists engineering (spec drawings) by preparing 2D and 3D drawings using AutoCAD, AutoDesk Inventor, & SolidWorks.
- Maintains the spec, CET, & 2020 log
