Summer Student Position
Job Overview
Lead a team of volunteers
Collaborate with all team members and Director on activities for youth
Search out remote and Indigenous communities to participate in youth ministry opportunities
Plan appropriate religious and community activities to serve the needs of the local community
Work with the Director on setting up a budget
Track all Youth Ministry expenditures
Attend Ontario-wide youth, kids & family camp located in Hillier, Ontario for three weeks in July and participate on the camp staff
Arrange teams and participate in a team for community outreach events
Schedule and attend rehearsal with music team and other volunteers
Seek out/mentor youth who want to serve others in this ministry
Create opportunities for youth to serve the needs of their peers
Contribute to the maintenance team with weekly building cleaning
Attend rehearsal at 9:00am each Sunday morning
Attend church worship services & Bible studies 1-3 times per week to assist in music ministry and youth ministry
Must have own transportation
Must have a current vulnerable sector screening
Ministry Majors preferred
Assist with transportation by picking up and dropping off youth at their home
Pay: $18.00 per hour
