Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class 1 commercial trucks to transport freight over short and long distances
- Load and unload cargo using forklifts and other heavy equipment, ensuring proper handling and securement
- Conduct pre-trip inspections of vehicles to verify safety standards and mechanical condition
- Maintain accurate documentation for shipments, delivery logs, and freight manifests
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, warehouse staff, and clients to coordinate deliveries and pickups
- Perform minor automotive repairs or troubleshooting as needed to keep trucks in optimal condition
- Follow all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies during operations
Qualifications
- Valid Class 1 commercial driver’s license (CDL) with a clean driving record
- Experience operating heavy equipment such as forklifts and other loading machinery
- Knowledge of freight handling procedures and securement techniques
- Ability to perform basic automotive repairs or troubleshooting on trucks
- Strong understanding of safety protocols related to commercial driving and heavy equipment operation
- Excellent communication skills and a proactive attitude toward safety and efficiency

Pay: $28.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40.0 – 60.0 per week
