Job Summary
We are seeking friendly and detail-oriented Cafe / Wine Shop Staff to join our team. This role involves providing exceptional customer service, managing food and beverage orders, and ensuring a welcoming environment for all guests. Ideal candidates will have experience in food service, familiarity with POS systems, and a passion for delivering high-quality hospitality. The position offers an opportunity to work in a vibrant setting where teamwork and efficiency are valued. All shifts are available, poss for flex schedule.
Responsibilities
- Take customer orders accurately using Lightspeed POS or similar systems
- Serve food and beverages in a timely and professional manner
- Handle cash, process payments, and perform cashiering duties with basic math skills
- Assist with food preparation and food handling to ensure safety standards are met
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the cafe and wine shop areas
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing guest inquiries and offering product recommendations
- Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure smooth operations
- Uphold food safety standards and proper hygiene practices at all times
Qualifications
- Resume with references a must.
- Previous Barista experience a must.
- Previous experience in the food industry, food service, or barista roles is preferred. Smart Serve Cert. Food Handlers Cert.
- Familiarity with POS systems, especially Litespeed POS, is advantageous
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly and professional demeanor
- Ability to handle cash handling accurately and perform basic math calculations
- Knowledge of food safety protocols and proper food handling techniques
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently
- Experience in serving, food preparation, or wine shop operations is a plus
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
