Job Description
Accountabilities:

Perform underwriting and risk assessment for multiple lines of business
-
Maintain a high level of communication, contact and support with management
-
Accountable for thorough communication and/or explanation of all underwriting decisions
-
Ensure PartnerRe's competitiveness with peers in industry, while ensuring compliance with established protocols and control standards
-
Contribute to the ongoing refinement and development of underwriting guidelines, policies and procedures
-
Ensure departmental compliance with established quality and service level agreements
-
Participation on internal land external audits as required
Qualifications
About you:

Strong understanding of the financial impact of underwriting decisions
-
Solid analytical skills
-
PC skills
-
Strong communications and interpersonal skills
-
Ability to problem solve and manage time efficiently
-
Ability to work independently or as part of a team
-
Ability to multi-task and to make decisions
-
Willing to engage in continuous learning
-
Knowledge of established underwriting principles and techniques and demonstrated ability to reason and apply theory
Readiness Qualifications and Experience Required:
-
Post-secondary education, preferably in math, science or business
-
Holds an industry designation or is working towards its completion (for example FALU)
-
5+ years practical experience working in progressive underwriting roles
-
Fluent in French and English
