Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and attentive Server to join our dynamic restaurant team. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional guest service, ensure food safety and sanitation standards are met, and create a welcoming atmosphere for all patrons. This role requires excellent communication skills, efficiency in food and beverage service, and the ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. Previous restaurant or food industry experience is preferred but not mandatory; we value hospitality-minded individuals eager to grow within our team.
Duties
- Greet guests warmly and present menus with enthusiasm
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Micros POS
- Serve food and drinks promptly while maintaining quality standards
- Handle cash, process payments, and give correct change using cashiering skills
- Upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and increase sales
- Ensure proper food handling, sanitation, and safety procedures are followed at all times
- Assist with food preparation or kitchen tasks as needed to support team operations
- Maintain cleanliness of tables, dining areas, and service stations throughout shifts
- Manage time effectively to serve multiple tables efficiently during busy hours
- Address guest inquiries or concerns promptly to ensure satisfaction
Skills
- Proficiency with POS systems, especially Micros POS, for order entry and cashiering
- Strong customer service skills with a focus on hospitality and guest satisfaction
- Knowledge of food safety, sanitation standards, and proper food handling procedures
- Experience in food service or restaurant environments preferred but not required
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks during high-volume periods
- Basic math skills for accurate cash handling and billing processes
- Ability to upsell menu items confidently to enhance guest experience
- Effective communication skills for working with team members and guests
- Familiarity with food industry terminology and serving protocols
- Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced setting
