Overview
The Warehouse Associate performs as assigned various warehouse activities for retailer programs, including loading and unloading trucks, handling product on the warehouse floor and filling orders, as well as maintaining concentration while handling detailed work in an atmosphere of time pressures and multiple demands. Ensures excellent internal & external customer service.
Schedule
Sunday – 7am to 7pm (Approx.)
Monday – 12pm to 10pm (Approx.)
Wednesday – 7am to 7pm (Approx.)
Thursday – 12pm to 10pm (Approx.)
Saturday – 7am to 7pm (Approx.)
Accountabilities
- Performs a variety of warehouse activities in a timely and efficient manner, including loading and unloading trucks, handling product on the warehouse floor and filling orders.
- Picks and fills orders in accordance with our standard operating procedures and processes.
- Works in a multi-disciplinary team with operations, quality control, inventory and repack.
- Works with the inventory team to resolve issues that arise.
- Maintains the cleanliness of the warehouse floor on a regular basis.
- Maintains and enforces a safe working environment.
- Maintains excellent knowledge of machinery and its operation.
- May be responsible for driving company trucks to deliver and pick-up products.
- Performs pre-trip inspections and tops up fluids as required. Reports any vehicle deficiencies to the assistant warehouse manager to arrange for repairs.
- Maintains accurate receiving, inventory and shipping records. May document information in computerized files in accordance with company standards, policies and procedures.
- Investigates and resolves related problems in a timely manner. Liaises with internal and external contacts to collect relevant information.
Required Knowledge & Abilities
- Ability to work safely and cooperatively within a team environment, as well as working independently.
- Ability to make appropriate decisions and effectively communicate information to designated parties.
- Ability to complete a high volume of work within specified deadlines.
- Availability for flexible scheduling if required (occasional split and/or weekend shift).
- Ability to work in cold temperatures in a warehouse and product storage environment.
- Excellent organizational skills and highly detail-oriented.
- Knowledge of the relevant computer applications (including Microsoft applications).
- Strong communication skills (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum, 2-years of related experience in inventory and warehouse operations; produce experience an asset.
- Forklift and pallet jack certification considered an asset.
- First-Aid certification considered an asset.
