Job Overview
We are seeking enthusiastic and dependable Restaurant Staff to join our dynamic team. This role involves providing exceptional customer service, ensuring food safety and sanitation, and supporting daily restaurant operations. Ideal candidates will have a passion for the food industry and excellent communication skills to create a welcoming environment for our guests. Prior restaurant experience is preferred but not required, as training will be provided. This position offers opportunities for growth within a fast-paced, team-oriented setting.
Duties
- Serving Alcohol according to Ontario Smart Serve Standards and regulations.
- Operate POS systems, including Micros POS, for order processing and cash handling
- Assist with food presentation and upselling menu items to enhance customer experience
- Manage cashier responsibilities, including processing payments accurately and efficiently
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of workstations, dining areas, washrooms and kitchen spaces in compliance with food safety regulations
- Ensure proper food handling procedures are followed at all times
- Provide friendly and attentive customer service, addressing guest inquiries and special requests
- Support kitchen staff with basic food preparation tasks as needed
- Manage time effectively during busy hours to ensure timely service delivery
- Greet guests warmly and provide friendly, efficient service.
- Take customer orders accurately and process payments using the POS system.
- Prepare and serve food and beverages according to restaurant standards.
- Follow food safety and hygiene guidelines.
- Restock supplies and ensure the restaurant is always guest-ready.
- Work collaboratively with team members to ensure smooth operations during shifts.
- Handle customer concerns promptly and professionally.
- Assist with opening and closing duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments is highly desirable
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to handle cash transactions accurately
- Basic math skills for handling cash, making change, and calculating orders
- Knowledge of sanitation practices within the food industry
- Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail
- Positive attitude, reliability, and willingness to learn.
- Prior experience in food handling, serving, cashiering, or kitchen work is a plus but not required ( training provided)
- Availability to work flexible shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
