Experienced Civil Construction Superintendent
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Civil Construction Superintendent to join our growing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating all aspects of civil construction projects, ensuring work is completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
This position requires a hands-on leader with extensive field experience in civil construction, strong organizational skills, and the ability to effectively manage crews, subcontractors, equipment, and project schedules.
Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise daily construction operations on civil projects.
- Coordinate and manage field crews, subcontractors, suppliers, and equipment.
- Ensure all work is performed in compliance with project specifications, drawings, and safety regulations.
- Develop and maintain project schedules to meet production targets and deadlines.
- Conduct daily site meetings and communicate project expectations clearly.
- Monitor productivity, quality control, and project costs.
- Identify and resolve construction challenges and delays efficiently.
- Maintain accurate daily reports, site documentation, and progress updates.
- Ensure a safe work environment and enforce company safety policies.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, clients, and inspectors.
Qualifications
- Minimum 5-10 years of experience as a Civil Construction Superintendent or similar leadership role.
- Extensive experience in earthworks, road construction, underground utilities, grading, site development, and heavy civil projects.
- Strong understanding of construction methods, equipment, and industry best practices.
- Proven ability to manage multiple crews and subcontractors.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and project schedules.
- Strong knowledge of safety regulations and construction standards.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

Preferred Qualifications
- First Aid Certification.
- CSTS, WHMIS, and other relevant safety certifications.
- Experience with GPS machine control and civil construction technology.
- Strong understanding of project scheduling software and construction management systems.
