Finance Manager
Location: Remote (Canada) | Type: Full-Time | Compensation: $90,000–$120,000/year, commensurate with experience
About Us
Ilona Health Corp. is a Canadian healthcare clinic acquisition platform focused on speech-language pathology, mental health, neuro-rehabilitation, and pediatric/adult therapy services. We partner with and acquire allied healthcare clinics across Canada, giving each clinic the resources to grow while preserving its own brand, team, and community relationships.
We're a small, fast-moving team scaling a multi-entity platform, and we're looking for someone who wants to build financial infrastructure from the ground up, not maintain someone else's.
The work behind the numbers matters. Every clinic in our platform is helping a child find their voice, a family navigate a diagnosis, or an adult recover skills after an injury. The financial systems you build directly support the clinicians doing that work, giving them the stability and resources to focus on their clients instead of their back office.
About the Role
We're hiring a Finance Manager to own financial operations and reporting across our platform of clinic entities. This is a real growth opportunity: you'll step into ownership of the finance function early, build the systems and processes from the ground up, and grow the role into leading a small team as the platform scales. It's an ideal next step for someone ready to move from individual contributor into their first management seat, or a newer Finance Manager looking to take on more scope than a typical corporate structure would offer.
This role reports directly to the Co-Founders and will work closely with clinic-level administrators, external accountants, and our banking partners.
What You'll Do
- Own consolidated financial reporting across multiple operating entities, building a single, reliable picture of platform-wide performance
- Design and implement standardized processes, chart of accounts, and reporting cadence across entities that currently run independently
- Manage and eventually build out a small finance/bookkeeping team as the platform grows
- Partner with banking relationships on reporting requirements tied to acquisition financing
- Support financial due diligence and integration work for new clinic acquisitions
- Provide direct, candid financial analysis and recommendations to leadership, including pushing back when the numbers say something different than expected
- Manage cash flow, AR/AP oversight, and month-end close across the platform
What We're Looking For
- Solid accounting/finance foundation; CPA designation (or in progress) preferred
- Comfortable using AI tools to work faster and smarter, from streamlining reporting and analysis to automating routine finance tasks
- Some exposure to multi-entity reporting an asset, but not required, we'll teach you our structure
- A builder's mindset: excited to create systems and processes from scratch rather than inheriting an existing, mature structure
- Comfortable with ambiguity and the pace of an actively acquiring platform — priorities and structure will shift as we grow
- Confident, direct communication style; willing to share your view and back it with data
- Growth-oriented: looking for more ownership and responsibility than your current role offers, and ready to grow into leading a team
- Available during Eastern business hours (9am–5pm ET)
Why Join Us
- A clear growth path: step into your first (or next) management role and build a real career trajectory alongside a growing platform
- Real ownership from day one, design the systems and processes yourself, not just execute someone else's playbook
- Direct access to and mentorship from the Co-Founders
- Grow into leading a team as the platform scales, this role won't stay the same size for long
- Remote, flexible work environment
