Are you an experienced
ICI Construction Estimator looking to take the next step in your career? Our client is seeking a detail-oriented estimator to join their growing team in
Barrie. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to a diverse portfolio of commercial, industrial, and institutional projects across Central Ontario.
What You'll Do
- Prepare detailed and accurate estimates for ICI construction projects from concept through tender.
- Review drawings, specifications, and addendums to ensure complete scope coverage.
- Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams to obtain pricing and validate cost data.
- Conduct quantity takeoffs across all divisions (Architectural, Structural, Civil, M&E).
- Assist in developing tender strategies, bid submissions, and cost breakdowns.
- Support value engineering, constructability reviews, and cost-saving recommendations.
- Work closely with project managers and preconstruction teams to ensure seamless project transitions.
What We're Looking For
- 3+ years of ICI estimating experience with a General Contractor in Ontario.
- Solid understanding of all construction divisions and industry-standard methodologies.
- Strong ability to interpret drawings, specifications, and client requirements.
- Proficiency with estimating tools such as Bluebeam, PlanSwift, or equivalent.
- Excellent communication, organization, and attention to detail.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
