We’re Looking for a Flat Roofing Estimator
We are seeking an experienced Flat Roofing Estimator to join our growing team based out of our Nelson office in British Columbia. Reporting directly to the President, the Estimator will play a key role in preparing accurate project cost estimates and competitive bids for flat roofing projects. This role is ideal for someone detail-focused who understands roofing or construction costing and enjoys working directly with project teams, vendors, and clients.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Review and analyze drawings, specifications and tender documents for accuracy and scope
- Prepare accurate cost estimates and detailed proposals/bids
- Review supplier and subcontractor quotes to assemble competitive pricing
- Submit tenders on time and ensure all requirements are met
- Work collaboratively with operations lead, site teams and suppliers
- Maintain updated cost databases, vendor pricing, and estimate revisions
- Support project handoff once bids are awarded
- Attend pre-bid meetings or site visits as required
- Maintain organized records of estimates, revisions and awarded projects
- Provide additional administrative, estimating, or operational support as needed based on business requirements, workload demands.
What You Bring to the Role
- Experience in roofing or construction estimating (flat roofing an asset)
- Proficiency with Bluebeam and Excel
- Red Seal roofer qualification an asset
- COR auditor experience an asset
- Estimator course an asset
- Strong analytical, mathematical, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent written & verbal communication
- Ability to work accurately under tight bidding deadlines
Pay: $30.00-$35.00 per hour

Experience:
- Flat Roofing: 2 years (preferred)
- Construction estimating: 2 years (required)
- Roofing estimation: 1 year (preferred)
