Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Butcher/Meat Cutter to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for the food industry, with experience in meat processing and food preparation. This role involves preparing high-quality cuts of meat, ensuring food safety standards are met, and providing excellent customer service. Duties
- Cut, trim, and prepare various types of meat, including sausage making according to customer specifications and company standards
- Ensure all meat products are handled safely and stored properly to maintain freshness and quality
- Operate meat cutting equipment safely and efficiently
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of work areas, adhering to food safety regulations
- Assist with inventory management, including stock rotation and ordering supplies as needed
- Provide friendly and knowledgeable assistance to customers regarding meat selections and preparation tips
- Follow all health and safety guidelines to prevent cross-contamination and ensure a safe working environment
Experience
- Prior experience in the food industry, particularly in butchery, meat cutting or restaurants is highly preferred
- Knowledge of food handling procedures, food safety standards, and sanitation practices
- Experience with packaging meat products for retail or wholesale environments
- Kitchen experience or background in food preparation is advantageous
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with customers and team members
- Familiarity with kitchen equipment used in meat processing is a plus

Pay: $19.00-$24.00 per hour
