We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Legal Assistant to support our Accident Benefits and Tort legal team. The ideal candidate will possess strong administrative skills. The Legal Assistant will play a vital role in managing case files and ensuring smooth office operations.
Duties
- Manage and organize case files using document management systems.
- Assist with project management tasks related to ongoing cases or legal projects.
- Perform data entry and maintain accurate records of case information and legal documentation.
- Support staff with administrative tasks including filing, scheduling, and document management.
- Handle phone inquiries with professional phone etiquette and direct calls appropriately.
- Assist in client communication and coordinate meetings or interviews as needed.
Requirements
- Proven administrative experience, preferably within a legal setting.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently.
- Excellent proofreading, writing, and legal drafting skills.
- Ability to perform data entry accurately and efficiently.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication skills, including professional phone etiquette.
