Our client, a well-established manufacturing company located on Montreal’s South Shore, is looking for a Logistics Supervisor to oversee shipping, transportation, and inventory management activities.
Reporting to the Supply Chain Management team, the successful candidate will supervise a unionized team and play a key role in optimizing logistics operations. The position will also contribute to continuous improvement and operational transformation projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and prioritize logistics activities in collaboration with planning and operations teams.
- Organize and optimize shipments, transportation, loading, and customs documentation.
- Supervise, coach, and develop a team of unionized employees.
- Ensure accurate inventory management and cycle counting.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety policies and procedures.
- Monitor carrier performance to optimize costs, quality, and service levels.
- Ensure compliance with customs requirements and maintain C-TPAT certification.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and logistics transformation projects.
