- Maintain, troubleshoot, and administer LANs, WANs, internet connections and networking equipment.
- Install, configure, maintain and support routers, switches, wireless access points, firewalls and related infrastructure.
- Monitor network performance and implement corrective measures.
- Diagnose and resolve network connectivity, hardware and software issues.
- Provide technical support to end users.
- Implement and maintain network security measures.
- Perform routine maintenance, upgrades, backups and monitoring.
- Document configurations and maintenance activities.
- Coordinate with vendors and service providers.
- Assist with VoIP, telecommunications, wireless and fiber optic solutions.
- Participate in testing and optimization of network systems.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and safety procedures.
- Diploma or degree in Computer Networking, Information Technology, Telecommunications, Computer Science or related field; or equivalent experience.
- Minimum 1 year related experience.
- Knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, routing, switching, wireless networking and network security.
- Strong troubleshooting, communication and organizational skills.
- Fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
- Combination of office, customer-site and field work.
- Work under pressure and manage large workloads.
- Travel to customer and project locations as required.
- Work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Lift, carry, push and pull tools, equipment and materials.
- Stand, walk, bend, kneel, crouch and reach for extended periods.
- Work at heights and in confined spaces when required.
- Climb and work from ladders up to 32 feet in height.
- Occasional work outside regular business hours may be required.
