INTERMEDIATE RESIDENTIAL FRAMER — SUBCONTRACTOR
Edmonton Area | $25–$28/Hour + 5% GST
GG Framing is looking for a dependable intermediate framer to work alongside our established residential-framing crew.
This position suits someone with approximately 1–4 years of framing experience or a strong renovation/carpentry background who wants to become a well-rounded production framer.

We offer steady, year-round work with reliable pay twice a month. Crew members typically work 80–100 hours per pay period, depending on how many hours they want, and receive 1.5 hours of paid break time each workday. You’ll also get hands-on mentorship and practical one-on-one instruction to strengthen your framing skills and help you take on more responsibility as you progress.
You should be able to:
- Measure and cut accurately at a steady pace
- Frame standard walls, floors and openings
- Read basic prints and assist with layout
- Install sheathing, blocking and backing
- Work safely with limited supervision
- Arrive consistently and communicate clearly
Roof and truss experience is an asset but not required. We value reliability, effort, practical ability and willingness to keep learning.
Subcontractor requirements:
- Own transportation, basic tools and PPE
- Valid GST number and ability to submit invoices
- Current WCB-Alberta account and clearance letter
- GST is paid in addition to the hourly rate
- WCB clearance must remain in good standing
- Work references required
Rate is based on demonstrated framing ability, productivity and reliability.
