Job Overview
We are seeking a responsible and professional Class 4 Taxi/Cab Driver to provide safe and reliable transportation services to our customers. The ideal candidate will have excellent driving skills, a strong focus on customer service, and the ability to manage time effectively. This role offers an opportunity to serve the community while maintaining a flexible schedule, primarily during daytime hours.
Duties
- Safely operate a Class 4 taxi or cab vehicle to transport passengers to their destinations efficiently and comfortably
- Greet passengers courteously and assist with boarding and luggage as needed
- Ensure timely pickups and drop-offs, adhering to scheduled appointments or customer requests
- Handle cash transactions accurately, providing receipts when necessary
- Maintain cleanliness and basic maintenance of the vehicle to ensure safety and comfort
- Follow all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies at all times
- Keep accurate records of trips, fares, and mileage for reporting purposes
- Provide excellent customer service by being friendly, professional, and attentive to passenger needs
Skills
- Valid Class 4 driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Proven experience in driving commercial vehicles or taxis preferred
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively and courteously with diverse passengers
- Excellent time management skills to ensure punctuality and efficient route planning
- Ability to handle cash transactions accurately and responsibly
- Good knowledge of local streets, routes, and traffic patterns
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and handle unexpected situations professionally
- Physical stamina for extended periods of driving and assisting passengers as needed
