Job Summary
We are seeking a creative and social-savvy Videographer and Video Editor Intern to help us capture and edit dynamic content for our website and social media platforms. The ideal candidate should have a flair for visual storytelling, with the ability to shoot and edit both informal, phone-camera style content and more polished, editorial-quality videos. This is a fantastic opportunity for college students or aspiring creatives who want hands-on experience in video production and social media trends.
Responsibilities
- Film and edit engaging content, from behind-the-scenes clips to polished editorial videos, that align with Lithe Beauty’s brand and vision.
- Capture spontaneous, authentic moments using mobile devices for a natural, relatable feel, as well as high-quality footage for planned shoots.
- Collaborate closely with our creative team to brainstorm and execute video concepts that resonate with our audience.
- Edit and assemble RAW footage, incorporating music, sound effects, graphics, and special effects to enhance the final product.
- Maintain organized project files and manage media assets.
- Stay updated on video trends, social media styles, and platform-specific formatting to ensure content is relevant and stylish.
- Meet deadlines and handle multiple projects, adapting to fast-paced production schedules.
- Revise and refine videos based on feedback.
Requirements
- Freelance or currently enrolled in a college or university program related to video production, film studies, multimedia, or a related field.
- Experience in video editing, with a portfolio showcasing a variety of content (mobile and professional).
- Skilled in video editing software like Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or similar.
- Proficiency with social media video formats and trends on platforms like Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube.
- Strong sense of style and creativity; able to capture both spontaneous and editorial content.
- Excellent communication skills and a collaborative attitude.
- Self-motivated and able to work independently, taking initiative in projects.
Pay & Benefits
- Honorarium: $500 Base + $500 bonus at the end of the trial month. Transitioning to $1000 per month. All amounts in CAD.
