Overview
We are seeking an experienced and safety-focused Forklift / Telehandler Operator to support construction projects across the Lower Mainland. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating forklifts and telehandlers to safely move, load, unload, and distribute construction materials on active job sites. This position requires experience working in construction environments, a strong commitment to safety, and the ability to work independently while supporting site operations.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate forklifts and telehandlers on commercial and residential construction sites.
- Load, unload, transport, and distribute construction materials to designated work areas.
- Assist with site logistics, material organization, and deliveries.
- Perform daily equipment inspections and report maintenance or safety concerns.
- Ensure materials are stored safely and securely on site.
- Work closely with site supervisors, trades, and delivery drivers to coordinate material movement.
- Follow all WorkSafeBC regulations, company policies, and site-specific safety requirements.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Perform general labour and site support duties as required.
- Travel to construction sites throughout the Lower Mainland.
Qualifications
- Valid Forklift and Telehandler certification.
- Minimum 2 years of experience operating forklifts and telehandlers on construction sites.
- Experience working on commercial, residential, or industrial construction projects.
- Strong understanding of construction site safety practices and material handling procedures.
- Ability to read site instructions and communicate effectively with supervisors and trades.
- Physically fit and able to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Reliable transportation and the ability to travel to job sites across the Lower Mainland.
- Valid driver's licence is preferred.
