Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced and reliable skilled Tow Truck Operator to join our team. They must have tow truck experience. This role involves operating tow trucks to assist with vehicle transportation. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge, excellent customer service skills, and experience in automotive repair or related fields. The Tow Truck Operator plays a vital role in ensuring safe and efficient vehicle transportation services for our clients.
Duties
- Operate tow trucks safely and efficiently to recover and transport vehicles from breakdowns, or other locations to our collision centres.
- Provide exceptional customer service by assisting clients professionally and courteously during stressful situations
- Conduct routine inspections of tow truck equipment and perform basic maintenance or report repairs needed
- Use mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot minor issues with vehicles or towing equipment
- Utilize forklift or other machinery as needed for loading or unloading vehicles and materials
- Maintain accurate documentation of all services performed, including reports on vehicle condition and recovery details
- Follow all safety protocols and traffic laws while operating the tow truck and during roadside assistance activities
Experience
- Prior experience in commercial driving, automotive repair, or related fields is preferred
- Mechanical knowledge is essential for troubleshooting and minor repairs
- Customer service experience is highly desirable to ensure positive interactions with clients
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; commercial driving license (CDL) is an asset.
- Experience operating forklifts or similar machinery is beneficial
- Ability to work in various weather conditions and handle physically demanding tasks effectively

Pay: $55,000.00-$60,000.00 per year
