HEAVY TRUCK and EQUIPMENT MAINTENANCE MANAGER
Heavy truck and equipment maintenance managers are tasked with leading the program that keeps our trucks and equipment working smoothly in the field.
Responsibilities
Routine Vehicle Maintenance.
· Schedule and oversee routine maintenance schedule.
· Oversee engine oil changes, brake inspections, tire changes, transmission fluid check/replacement, and coolant/antifreeze check.
Inspection & Prevention
· Inspect, service, and repair all moving parts and safety features.
· Get any faulty or damaged vehicle parts repaired. Procure replacements for parts that are beyond repair.
· Diagnose electronic issues in various systems.
Emergency Repairs
· Oversee emergency repairs
· Coordinate tow services when needed.
Licensing
· Tracks and ensures that fleet registration, license, insurance and permits are up to date.
· Assist correspondence with MTO to ensure fleets meet current Ministry guidelines.
Administration
· Maintain updated CVOR and driver abstract.
· Ensure work orders are entered and up to date.
· Manage mechanics hours and payroll administration.
Health and Safety
· Demonstrate leadership and behavior consistent with health and safety policies and procedures through frontline engagement, training, and enforcement policies utilizing tools of awareness, and positive reinforcement.
Requirements
· Technical expertise and demonstrated experience working with heavy construction equipment, including dump trucks, tractor-trailers, pony-pups, slingers and concrete volumetric trucks, diesel engines, hydraulic systems, etc.
· Leadership skills are required for managing the maintenance team.
· Communication and organizational skills are necessary for collaborating with dispatchers and managing maintenance schedules.

Pay: $95,000.00 per year
