We are currently hiring individuals to join our Food & Beverage team in the role of Halfway House Chef Attendant for our 2026 season. The Halfway House Chef Attendant is responsible for delivering exceptional customer service by providing beverages and snacks to patrons on the golf course in our Halfway Houses. This position will also serve as support in our restaurants and event spaces as needed.
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Handle and distribute food and drinks to guests on the golf course from one of our designated, halfway house or Grill take out in a friendly and welcoming nature.
· Wash, peel, and chop vegetables, fruits, and herbs.
· Measure and portion ingredients according to recipes.
· Prepare meats by trimming, cutting, and marinating as required.
· Maintain a clean and organized workspace.
· Comfortable execute hot and cold dishes.
· Label and store ingredients properly to prevent spoilage and ensure freshness.
· Taste and evaluate dishes to ensure they meet the restaurant's standards for flavor, texture, and presentation.
· Monitor and restock kitchen supplies as needed.
· Keep track of inventory and communicate with the kitchen manager or chef regarding low stock items.
· Clean and sanitize kitchen tools and equipment regularly.
· Report any malfunctioning equipment to the kitchen manager or chef.
· Follow proper food safety and sanitation procedures.
· Effectively communicate with the Food and Beverage team at the Clubhouse for additional direction throughout the day.
· Ensure a positive guest experience is delivered through each sale.
· Must be knowledgeable of the food and drink menu for efficient transactions.
· Handle customer inquiries, resolve issues, and ensure customer satisfaction.
· Inspect and ensure the quality of ingredients before cooking.
· Cook food items in various kitchen equipment, such as grills, ovens, fryers, and stovetops.
· Monitor cooking times and temperatures to ensure that dishes are cooked properly.
· Follow recipes and guidelines to maintain consistency in the quality of the dishes.
· Daily opening and closing duties in the kitchen.
· Maintain a clean, safe, and organized workstation within the Safe Food Handlers guidelines.
· Occasionally support in the restaurant or event space during busy periods.
Qualifications:
· Must possess a Food Handlers and Smart Serve Certificates or acquire one within one month of hire date
· Strong verbal communication skills with the ability to interact with staff and guests.
· Organized with the ability to multi-task and assist in all kitchen operations.
· Excellent customer service and communication skills.
· Willingness to accommodate guest requests.
· Ability to anticipate, prevent, and solve problems as necessary.
· Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and remain calm under pressure.
· Basic math skills for processing transactions and making change.
· Physical fitness and the ability to navigate outdoor terrain.
· Responsible and trustworthy in handling transactions.
· Smart Serve Certification is required.
· Experience in the golf industry is an asset.
· Previous experience in customer service or a similar role is preferred.
· Knowledge of beverage and snack offerings is an advantage.
Requirements:
· The role involves working outdoors in various weather conditions and requires the ability to stand, walk, and operate a beverage cart vehicle.
· Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds on occasion and work in a fast-paced environment
· The ability to work a varied, flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends
· Valid Driver’s License.
· Smart Serve Certification
· Food Handlers Certification

Compensation: $22.44 per hour, plus gratuities
