Job Overview
We are looking for an experienced HR Generalist with a strong talent acquisition background who brings valuable expertise in sourcing, attracting, and selecting top talent to support the organization's growth and success while also fulfilling broader HR responsibilities. The successful candidate will have experience with Ceridian Dayforce. The HR Generalist will serve as a crucial link between management and employees, providing support across various human resources functions within an organization. This role requires a versatile skill set encompassing recruitment, employee relations, performance management, training and development, compliance, and HR administration. The HR Generalist will play a pivotal role in fostering a positive work environment, ensuring employee satisfaction, and driving organizational success through effective people management strategies, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and objectives. This role reports into the People & Culture Manager.
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manage the onboarding, bi-weekly payroll process as well as our performance management process through Dayforce.
- Manage the end-to-end recruitment process, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, and onboarding of new employees.
- Conduct employee orientations and ensure new hires have a smooth transition into the organization.
- Collaborate with hiring managers to understand staffing needs and develop comprehensive recruitment strategies aligned with organizational goals.
- Utilize innovative recruitment methods and tools to proactively source passive candidates and build talent pipelines for current and future hiring needs.
- Handle employee relations matters, including conflict resolution, disciplinary actions, in compliance with company policies and applicable employment laws.
- Coordinate and deliver training programs to enhance employee skills and knowledge.
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
- Maintain accurate employee records and HR databases, ensuring data integrity and confidentiality.
- Provide day-to-day performance management guidance to line management (e.g., coaching, counselling. development, disciplinary actions).
- Responsible for reviewing temporary agency invoices to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Assist with HR projects and initiatives as needed.
· Demonstrate awareness and commitment to health and safety and act to ensure that unsafe practices or non-compliant behaviors do not occur.
· Liaise with supervisors to prepare constructive corrective action documentation and ensure proper processes are adhered to and records kept.
· Advise and ensure consistency on the interpretation and operational application and legal compliance of corporate policies, programs, guidelines and procedures.
· Other such duties as may be assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS
· Post-secondary education in Human Resources Management.
· 5+ years of Human Resources experience.
- Minimum 1 year Dayforce experience.
- Experience in a manufacturing environment is an asset.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, detail oriented.
- Proficient with MS Office, with intermediate to advanced knowledge in Excel.
- Advanced knowledge of provincial laws and regulations.
- Collaborative, professional team player with judgement to handle sensitive situations with tact, diplomacy and high ethical standards.
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and oral, and cross-cultural awareness.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment and take initiative and ownership for a wide range of responsibilities.

Pay: $70,000.00-$75,000.00 per year
