Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Labourer to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will assist with various construction projects, support skilled trades, and help maintain a safe and efficient work environment. This role offers opportunities to develop a broad range of construction skills and gain valuable hands-on experience in the industry.
Duties
- Assist with the preparation and cleanup of job sites, including material handling and organization
- Support carpenters, masons, electricians, and other trades by providing necessary tools and materials
- Operate hand tools, power tools, and heavy equipment safely and effectively
- Perform concrete forming, finishing, and related tasks as directed
- Assist with installation of flooring, tile laying, cabinetry, and other finishing work
- Read blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings to understand project requirements
- Support demolition, restoration, or renovation activities as needed
- Perform caulking, painting preparation, or plumbing tasks under supervision
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to safety protocols
Experience
- Prior experience in construction or related trades is preferred but not required; on-the-job training will be provided
- Knowledge of blueprint reading, schematics, and construction estimating is a plus
- Familiarity with carpentry, masonry, welding, electrical work, or plumbing enhances candidacy
- Experience operating heavy equipment or machinery is advantageous
- Ability to use hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently
- Basic understanding of construction safety standards and protocols
