What is Steamoji?
Steamoji is a maker academy that complements and enriches children’s school studies by exposing them to new technologies in fabrication, physical computing, engineering and digital arts while teaching them Steamoji soft skills, such as design thinking, a growth mindset and entrepreneurship. What are we looking for?
We are looking for a friendly and energetic facilitator to assist apprentices in their Steamoji missions, inspire confidence and enthusiasm in STEM subjects, and provide a safe and fun atmosphere for children to experiment and develop a growth mindset.

As a Facilitator, the duties and responsibilities include:
- Assist with the deployment of the Steamoji curriculum
- Contribute to company culture and Steamoji core values
- Review instructional videos before each session
- Work with 4-6 apprentices to complete missions
- Assist and guide apprentices during the making process of Steamoji projects
- Assist apprentices with tools and equipment and ensure safety in the process
- Create and share video artifacts and provide feedback to parents
- Be an ambassador for the Steamoji brand
- Assist with training new staff to deliver our STEAM curriculum
- Engage with kids and parents to ensure a positive experience
- Support a fun and safe learning environment for our students
- Uphold corporate standards with respect to center cleanliness & operational standards
- Ability to think on the fly and be perceptive to center dynamics
- Is a proficient communicator with strong leadership skills and self-started approach to get things done.
- Understand and implementation of the Steamoji program content
- Equipment upkeep
Qualifications:
High School, College/University Students seeking a part-time position working with children and learning basic technological skills in the process.
- Experience teaching kids and understanding their needs
- Coding knowledge or experience is an asset
- Knowledge of business operations, sales, and team leadership
- Familiarity with technology, social media, G Suite, and office equipment
- Flexible schedule
- Must be fun to work with and enjoy working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Deadline and detail-oriented, as we can't miss dates or overlook customers
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
- Outgoing
- Sales-focused
- Strong verbal or written communication skills
