About Us
Toothworks Boardwalk Dental is a high-volume, patient-focused clinic serving the Kitchener community from one of the area's most popular destinations. As part of the Toothworks (Dentalcorp) network, we're known for delivering exceptional care to a busy and loyal patient base - and we need a front desk professional who can match our energy and keep things running seamlessly.
The Role
This is a front-line role that blends reception, treatment coordination, and patient communication. You'll be the face and voice of our clinic - the person who sets the tone the moment a patient walks in or calls. In a busy office like ours, we need someone who stays calm under pressure, takes initiative, and brings a "whatever it takes" attitude every single day.
If you thrive in a fast-paced environment and love being the person who holds it all together - this role is for you.
Key Responsibilities
- Welcome patients and manage front desk operations efficiently in a high-volume setting.
- Schedule appointments, manage confirmations, and handle multi-line phone inquiries.
- Verify, submit, and follow up on insurance claims accurately and promptly.
- Present and explain treatment plans to patients, including fees, insurance coverage, and financing options.
- Manage collections and support the achievement of clinic operational goals.
- Use Abeldent software to maintain patient records, treatment plans, and scheduling.
- Support the clinical team with day-to-day workflow and operational needs.
What We're Looking For
- Previous dental office experience is mandatory.
- Proficiency with Abeldent dental software strongly preferred; experience with any dental practice management software is an asset.
- Comfortable operating a multi-line phone system in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
- Flexible availability - the clinic operates 6 days a week and shifts rotate across those days; you will work your standard hours within that schedule.
- Ability to stay composed, focused, and efficient during busy periods.
- Naturally puts people at ease - warm, professional, and genuinely enthusiastic about patient care.
- Positive, dependable, and able to bring your best self to every shift.
