Marketing & Content Coordinator (Part-Time, Contractor)
Approx. 20 hours/week | $2000 - 2500/month | Newmarket, ON (hybrid)
Amanda Shields Interiors is looking for a part-time Marketing & Content Coordinator to lead content strategy, storytelling, and social media execution. This role is ideal for someone with a refined visual eye, a natural understanding of interior design aesthetics, and the ability to strategically create content that appeals to a high-end, design-focused demographic across the GTA.
This is a contractor role — you’ll invoice monthly, manage your own schedule, and occasionally visit project sites for light content capture when needed.
What You’ll DoContent Strategy
- Build monthly content plans designed to attract and convert our ideal client: design-driven homeowners seeking elevated interiors
- Develop content pillars, campaign ideas, and weekly themes
- Identify trends that fit Amanda Shields Interiors without compromising aesthetic integrity
- Optimize timing, formats, and messaging for visibility, engagement, and lead quality
Content Creation
- Edit 6–8 elevated Reels per month
- Create 8–12 static posts or carousels that feel aligned with the ASI brand
- Write captions in a warm, refined, modern tone
- Capture simple iPhone content on-site as needed (BTS, design details, natural moments)
- Schedule and publish content in Later
Marketing Execution
- Write and send 1 monthly email newsletter
- Write 1 monthly blog post (project insights, design tips, client education)
- Make small content updates to the Wix website when needed
- Review analytics and provide monthly insights
- Support campaigns for services and upcoming digital products (like the Kitchen Reno Workbook)
Who You Are
- You have a strong visual eye and understand interior design aesthetics, styling, and composition
- You can edit clean, elevated Reels that feel polished and modern
- You write clearly, confidently, and in a personable tone
- You think strategically and understand how to attract a high-end demographic
- You’re organized, self-directed, and detail-oriented
- You can capture simple iPhone content and turn it into storytelling
Experience
- 2–4 years in social media content creation, digital marketing, or a similar creative role
- Experience with lifestyle, interiors, or boutique creative brands is an asset
- Familiarity with Canva, Later, and Wix is considered an advantage
Growth Opportunity
This role begins at approximately 20 hours per week with a monthly retainer of $2000 –$2500. As Amanda Shields Interiors continues to grow, there is potential for this position to expand — from increased hours to a larger part-time or full-time role. We are looking for someone who wants to grow with the brand, take creative ownership, and eventually step into a more robust marketing position.

Months 1–2:
- Consistent, on-brand posting established
- Clear alignment with the ASI aesthetic and audience
- Engagement and visibility trending upward
Months 3–4:
- Reels performing above your current baseline
- Higher-quality inquiries and website traffic
- Smooth execution of newsletter + blog
Months 5–6:
- Noticeable increase in qualified leads
- Clear impact on brand visibility and conversion
- Strong contribution to service and digital product campaigns
Requirements
- Experience in social media content creation and strategy
- Strond sense of design and some interior design knowledge
- Strong editing skills (CapCut, InShot, Adobe Express, etc.)
- Excellent writing ability
- Current iPhone for content capture
- Available for occasional in-person content days
- Able to invoice monthly as a contractor
