Mini Comets Swim Program is a busy and very popular program looking for coaches to inspire swimmers of all ages and skill levels to progress in a swim club environment.
In this energetic role, you will deliver engaging swim sessions, develop more coaching skills, and foster a positive, motivating environment that encourages growth and confidence in the water.

This role is perfect for university or high school students who want a fun, challenging part time role while focusing on academics. The chosen candidates will also have the opportunity to advance their coach education through the NCCP coach certification pathway paid by our program during their time with us
This program runs October to the end of June, with December off.
Duties
- Deliver effective swim training programs tailored to individual skill levels and goals
- Lead group and one-on-one coaching sessions with enthusiasm, ensuring safety at all times
- Teach proper swimming techniques, breathing methods, and water safety skills
- Monitor swimmers’ progress, provide constructive feedback, and adjust sessions accordingly
- Promote a positive team environment that encourages motivation, sportsmanship, and confidence
- Conduct safety checks of pool facilities before and after each session
- Maintain accurate attendance records, progress reports, and coaching documentation
Requirements
- Experience in teaching swimming or coaching aquatic activities
- Knowledge of swim techniques, water safety protocols, and instructional methods
- Good communication skills to motivate and instruct diverse groups of learners
- Ability to demonstrate proper swimming form and assist swimmers in improving their skills
- Enthusiastic attitude with a passion for teaching and promoting healthy lifestyles
- Certifications such as Lifeguard Certification or First Aid/CPR are preferred but not mandatory; willingness to obtain required certifications is essential
- Reliable, energetic, and committed to creating a safe and enjoyable learning environment
Pay: $18.00-$30.00 per hour
Expected hours: 6.0 – 10.0 per week
