Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Mobile Phone Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of mobile devices, including smartphones and tablets. This role requires a strong understanding of operating systems such as Android and iOS, as well as proficiency with computer hardware, schematics, and hand tools. The technician will ensure devices are restored to optimal functionality, providing excellent service to retail customers and supporting technical troubleshooting efforts.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose hardware and software issues on mobile devices, including Android and iOS platforms
- Repair or replace faulty components using appropriate hand tools and techniques
- Troubleshoot software problems related to operating systems, apps, and device firmware
- Utilize schematics and technical manuals to identify underlying issues in complex devices
- Perform data recovery, software updates, and system restorations as needed
- Test repaired devices to ensure proper functionality before returning to customers
- Maintain detailed documentation of repairs and parts used for each device
- Assist retail sales staff with technical knowledge about mobile devices and accessories
- Stay updated on the latest trends in mobile technology and repair techniques
Skills
- Proficiency with Android and iOS operating systems
- Experience with macOS and Windows environments for troubleshooting purposes
- Strong knowledge of computer hardware components related to mobile devices
- Ability to read schematics and technical diagrams accurately
- Skilled in using various hand tools for delicate repairs
- Excellent analysis skills to identify root causes of device malfunctions
- Familiarity with retail sales environments is a plus
- Strong problem-solving abilities combined with attention to detail
