True Blue Mechanical is hiring an experienced sheet metal worker to join our team working on light commercial tenant improvement projects across the Lower Mainland.
Responsibilities:
Fabricate, install, and modify HVAC ductwork (rectangular and round) for commercial TI projects
Install and hang HVAC equipment — RTUs, fan coils, VAV boxes, make-up air units, exhaust fans, and related mechanical equipment
Read and interpret mechanical drawings, shop drawings, and blueprints
Install grilles, diffusers, dampers, and duct accessories
Coordinate with site supervisors and other trades on active job sites
Ensure work meets code (BC Building Code, SMACNA standards) and passes inspection
Maintain tools and shop equipment; keep accurate material/time records
Requirements:
Minimum 3–5 years of hands-on commercial ductwork and equipment installation experience
Red Seal certification an asset but not required — experience and reliability matter more
Comfortable working independently on active tenant improvement/renovation sites
Own hand tools; valid driver's license
Ability to lift 50+ lbs, work at heights, and use lifts/rigging equipment safely (hanging/rigging equipment experience important)
Strong communication skills and reliability
