Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Assistant to join our healthcare team. Responsibilities
- Assist pharmacists in preparing and dispensing prescription medications accurately and efficiently
- Manage inventory, including stocking shelves and tracking medication supplies
- Provide exceptional patient care by answering questions and offering guidance under pharmacist supervision
- Handle administrative tasks such as data entry, filing, and maintaining patient records
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols, including proper storage and disposal of medications
- Support medication administration processes as needed, adhering to all regulatory standards
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment to promote safety and efficiency
Experience
- Previous hospital experience or pharmacy technician experience is preferred ( Minimum 2 years).
- Familiarity with medical terminology related to pharmaceuticals and patient care
- Experience in medication administration or related healthcare functions is advantageous
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients and healthcare professionals
- Ability to work accurately under pressure while maintaining attention to detail
- Knowledge of pharmacy software systems is a plus (Kroll)
