Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Marketing and Communications Coordinator (PR Specialist) to join our team. This role is vital in shaping and maintaining the organization’s public image through strategic communication, media relations, and content creation. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, a strong background in marketing, and the ability to effectively engage diverse audiences. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to impactful campaigns, enhance brand visibility, and develop professional skills within a collaborative environment.
Duties
- Develop and implement comprehensive marketing and communication strategies aligned with organisational goals.
- Manage media relations, including drafting press releases, pitching stories, and coordinating interviews with key stakeholders.
- Create engaging content for various channels such as social media, websites, newsletters, and promotional materials.
- Conduct research to stay informed on industry trends, audience preferences, and competitive landscape.
- Proofread and edit all communication materials to ensure clarity, accuracy, and consistency in messaging.
- Plan and coordinate public speaking engagements, events, and outreach initiatives to promote organisational initiatives.
- Monitor media coverage and analyze campaign effectiveness to optimize future strategies.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure cohesive branding and messaging across all platforms.
Requirements
- Proven experience in marketing, public relations, or communications roles.
- Strong writing skills with the ability to craft compelling messages tailored to different audiences.
- Excellent verbal communication skills suitable for public speaking engagements and media interactions.
- Proficiency in research methods to gather relevant data and insights for strategic planning.
- Attention to detail in proofreading and editing all written materials.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
- Creative mindset with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or a related field is preferred.
- Nice-to-have skills include experience with social media management tools and familiarity with analytics platforms.
