As the Director, HR Technology and Operations,
you will be accountable for innovating the future of our HR operations and technology strategy.
You will collaborate with HR colleagues and business leaders in design-thinking exercises so that we crystallize our HR operations and technology priorities designed to make employees work easier. You will build deep partnerships with our HR leadership team and champion enthusiastic new ways operations and technology can advance the Lifelabs employee experience.
You will ensure consistent and reliable service delivery for internal customers through continuous improvement of our workforce solutions, client support and crisp execution of roadmap projects.
This role will be based out of our head office in Etobicoke, ON and will report into the Senior Vice President, People.
The incumbent will oversee a group of 15+ employees in Human Resources operations and HR functional technology.
We are seeking a seasoned individual with strong expertise, focused on HR technology and operations processes in alignment with our customer centric culture.
The Director HR Technology and Operations will keep a long-term view of the strategic initiatives under their responsibility and required to deliver on Lifelabs culture transformation and People strategy.
Leveraging their proven Process Leadership and Continuous Improvement skills, the Director HR Technology and Operations will be responsible for improvement activities, driving operational performance and service excellence within HR Systems & Operations, creating the platform that will help evolve the HR Operating Model. Develop a HR Technology strategy that will lead to an improved employees experience, streamlined HR processes and enhanced productivity.
Provide ongoing strategic and tactical evaluation of HR systems and delivery of services to ensure alignment with LifeLabs’ long-term strategy, business requirements, competitive landscape and regulatory environment.
Build excellent relationships across all businesses, specifically partnering with HR, and IT to develop and manage People systems technology investment and implementation.
Manage work with the HR team to develop communications strategies and training material to create alignment, understanding and adoption of our systems
Maintain data integrity of HR systems through pro-active means (audits, queries, etc.). • Ensure data infrastructure supports future growth and integration of data for analytical insights
Stay connected to the marketplace for opportunities to remain competitive with system enhancements, upgrades or new vendors and improve overall effectiveness
Oversee the rollout of new technologies and manage system administration and governance of HR systems including ongoing compliance work
Manage relationships with HR technology vendors and ensure the development of proper training and documentation for system use and maintenance. Responsible for all technology renewals and licensing HR Operations
Drive the design, implementation and evaluation of optimal employee services through cost effective, efficient and contemporary solutions, including outsourcing
Ensure HR Operations’ audits and control processes are developed and followed in compliance with external regulations, and internal policies and procedures
Develop a best in class HR Call Centre utilizing skill development and technology to improve the employee experience including the monitoring of performance metrics
Ensure process documentation, work instructions, HR Help scripts and all other supporting documentation is developed in preparation to successfully support the customer centric strategy
In collaboration with the HR Business team, responsibility for the ongoing management of HR policies and implementation of changes and updates to ensure they reflect regulatory requirements and business needs
