General Job Description:
The Leader Tech is responsible for supporting the Supervisors and Management of TG Minto by following all TG Minto policies and procedures and leading by example at all times. The role of the Leader Tech is to support and fill in for the supervisor when needed and be the “eyes and ears” on the floor to bring necessary concerns to the attention of the supervisor or communicate messages from the supervisor to the team members. Leader Techs are expected to be able to train any employee in their area.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The Leader Technician will work closely with the Supervisor and assist with directing employees while treating all team members with dignity and respect. Flexible work hours are required
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Must be able to perform all duties in the warehouse
- Lead, motivate, and develop team members
- Train & 4M team members, ensure they are trained to the standard
- Daily team member audits to ensure proper procedure is being followed
- Report any personal shortages to Supervisor
- Communicate with shippers & sort wrap if product is going to be close to ship time
- Report any potential miss shipment concerns to Supervisor
- Report any returnable shortages to the Supervisor
- Detailed investigation of mixed KANBAN, short shipments, health and safety incidents, and or any other issues as assigned
- Complete incident reports for all incidents within the department. (dock door issues, equipment accidents, team member medical conditions, accidents involving quality of our product)
- Maintain team member training matrix
- Review and assign 6S responsibilities daily
- Complete daily 6S audits
- Operate material handling equipment, lift truck & tugger
- Lead and perform daily start of shift meeting when required
- Communicate safety or hazard alerts to team members
- Identify Kaizen opportunities & implement
- Inventory Counts
- All of the duties must be performed within Health and Safety guidelines
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) is preferred –or—successful completion of an aptitude test
- Regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms.
- Frequently required to stoop, kneel crouch, or crawl.
- Occasionally required to climb or balance and talk or hear.
- must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, and colour vision.
- Ability to read English as well as speak and print simple sentences.

Straight Shift Timing on Afternoon Shift (04:30 pm to 1:00 am) but may be required to change shifts in order to accommodate production requirements.
