Job Description
Reporting to the Superintendent, the Scaffolding Foreman/woman is responsible for managing construction projects and QC, ensuring production deadlines are met, and turnover packages are completed while ensuring a safe working environment.
Candidates must possess CSTS 2020, CSO, Fall Protection, H2S Alive, and be able to pass a Drug and Alcohol test.
Job Duties & Responsibilities
- Ability to direct employees day to day and provide feed back and mentorship to team members
- Assigns project tasks and goals to the team
- Coordinates manpower to support daily operations
- Review and interpret drawings specifications
- Instruct skilled mechanics so that work meets requirements
- Works with the Branch Manager regarding employee performance management
- Conduct training in safety
- Be familiar with work assigned and ensure that all work meets or exceeds the standards
- Understands client priorities and assigns manpower and resources as required
- Coordinates project releases with client
- Prepare and submit timesheets, safety reports, quality and quantity reports, and other required reports
- Take responsibility and accountability for their crew; motivate employees
- Regularly communicates work progress, schedule variances, crew and safety performance to the site Superintendent and Project Manager
- Support his/her immediate supervisor in any possible manner to effectively perform their duties
- Ensures all work is completed according to schedule as well as meeting OHSA, Kandrea and client safety requirements
- Be familiar with jobsite safety plan
- Maintains and enforces safe work practices
- Submits safety and quality documentation to administration
- Safety is everyone’s responsibility and you are responsible to look out for yourself and those around you
Education & Experience
- Previous experience in Scaffolding, and in supervisory role is required
- Minimum 5 years experience in construction management
- Previous experience as a qualified tradesman an asset
- Proven ability to work with large manpower requirements
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite
- Ability to maintain the following safety tickets: CTS, CSO, H2S Alive, Fall Protection
