Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Dishwasher/Prep Cook to join our dynamic kitchen team. This role is vital in maintaining a clean, organized, and efficient food service environment. The ideal candidate will assist with meal preparation, ensure food safety standards are met, and support the kitchen operations to deliver exceptional dining experiences. Responsibilities
- Wash, sanitize, and organize dishes, utensils, cookware, and kitchen equipment to maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards.
- Assist with food preparation tasks such as chopping vegetables, assembling ingredients, and portioning items for cooking.
- Support cooking activities by preparing ingredients according to recipes and instructions.
- Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen workstations, including counters, sinks, and storage areas.
- Follow proper food handling procedures to ensure food safety and prevent contamination.
- Assist with restocking supplies and organizing inventory to ensure smooth kitchen operations.
- Support the culinary team during busy service hours by ensuring timely meal preparation and delivery.
Qualifications
- Prior experience in food service or restaurant environments is preferred but not required; training will be provided.
- Knowledge of food preparation techniques and cooking methods is a plus.
- Understanding of food safety standards and proper food handling practices.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong teamwork skills with a positive attitude toward collaboration.
- Flexibility to work various shifts including evenings or weekends if needed.
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 50 pounds, and perform repetitive tasks safely.
