Job Overview
Pacific Ropes Contracting Ltd. is seeking experienced and safety-focused Rope Access Painters to join our team for upcoming industrial and commercial projects in the Edmonton area. This role is ideal for individuals with rope access experience who take pride in delivering high-quality workmanship while maintaining the highest safety standards.
Responsibilities
- Perform painting, coating, and surface preparation using industrial rope access techniques.
- Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, scraping, pressure washing, and applying primers as required.
- Apply paints, coatings, and protective finishes to various structures.
- Inspect work areas and ensure all work meets quality standards and project specifications.
- Maintain rope access and painting equipment in a safe and serviceable condition.
- Follow all company safety policies, site procedures, and provincial health and safety regulations.
- Complete daily reports and communicate effectively with supervisors and team members.
Qualifications
- Valid IRATA or SPRAT Level 1, 2, or 3 certification (preferred).
- Previous experience as a commercial, industrial, or rope access painter.
- Experience with surface preparation and protective coatings is considered an asset.
- Valid Fall Protection certification (preferred).
- Ability to work safely at heights and in physically demanding environments.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
- Valid driver's licence and reliable transportation are considered an asset.
